Spicy Mexican Potato Soup November 27, 2016

Soup always hits the spot!

In this recipe, Amanda used munster cheese. Munster cheese is a strong tasting, soft cheese named after a French region Munster where the first rounds of cheese were produced.

A tip: If the soup turns out to be too spicy for you, you can always follow Amanda’s advice and add some lime juice in the soup. Also, you may want to keep these jalapeno seeds out of your dish 😉

Bonne appetit!

Mile-High Quesadilla November 20, 2016

Stack ’em high and open-wide! This is another video from Amanda who has recently shown us how to make a delicious cocktail.

Quesadillas came into our cuisine from the central and southern regions of Mexico. Mexican quesadillas are usually cooked on a comal, smooth, flat griddle. As a variation, the quesadillas can be deep fried in oil. The fried ones are prepared more like a pastry with the filling made of vegetables and cheese.

Amanda showed us a more traditional variation cooked in oven.

Bonne appetit!

Pico de Gallo Cocktail November 17, 2016

So delicious, we had to make it into a side dish!

The best way to serve such a cocktail is in martini glasses. To add an extra twist to your party, you can use these hand painted ones. They are unique and can be a perfect gift of a house where you are having a party.

A meal tastes better when being eaten out of a pretty tableware 🙂

Tofu Lasagne November 10, 2016

Here’s another delicious and vegan meal: Tofu Lasagne!

Bryce, the chef who made Black Bean Sauce, decided to share with us another delicious recipe.

What’s tofu? According to Wikipedia, it’s s a kind of food made by coagulating soy milk. The resulting curds then gets pressed into white blocks. Tofu can be very soft, soft, firm, or extra firm. Tofu has a subtle flavor and is very versatile when it comes to cooking. It can be seasoned or marinated or sweetened and used as a dessert or in desserts. It is a great source of vegan protein and fat.

Vegan Black Bean Sauce November 7, 2016

Recipe for delicious Vegan Black Bean Sauce.
Learn from Bryce how to make this healthy sauce!

You can add the sauce to your favorite pasta (like Bryce did) or use it with any other dish you want, for example, a stir-fry.

They say, “It’s hard to be a vegan…” But with the recipes of our cooks, it is easy!

You may be wondering, what the heck are black beans? Well, in this particular context (a context of black bean sauce), it is actually dried, fermented soybeans, which get a dark brownish-black color during the curing process. That’s why they got the name.

The soybeans have a rich flavor and the black bean sauce is very flavorful, too.

Try it out, you will love it!

Sweet Potato Fries November 3, 2016

This fries will blow your mind!

Here, David used a neat trick. You noticed? Yes, he did use whiskey for in the tempura batter! But we would like to discuss the cooking process 🙂

First, David fried the potatoes for a bit unbattered. Then, he took the batter and applied it on the potato pieces. Finally, David fried the battered potatoes. Yummy!

In his professional kitchen, David used a simple pan for frying. We do not recommend it for a regular home use since it produces too much undesirable odor and oil splashes that may cause harm to you or your relatives around you.

To cook perfect fries, we suggest to use a proper deep fryer. Read these Cool Daddy deep fryer reviews to find out which deep fryer suits your needs the best!

Enjoy your fries!
